Brief sketch:

The force-flux relation is a long-standing belief for researchers working on chemical reaction networks. Our work jemfirst give a complete rigorous proof of it. Actually our work provides a clear definition of the one-way flux for nonlinear reactions with arbitrary mechanisms. Note the canonical definitions for one-way flux, like in the linear case, is not appropriate in this situation. Even if you have the magic to stop the reversed reaction from happening and you can measure the exact rate of the forward reaction, use this rate as the forward one-way flux is not appropriate. At least our work shows such a definition can never lead to the force-flux relation. But our definition, stemmed from the cycle representation of Markov chain and the one-way flux in linear case, can give a more approprate definition for one-way flux and the fluxes defined in this way can be proved to satisfy the force-flux relation.
